Updates
Feb 26 2007 by Frank Wu
Recently, we showed "Guidolon" at a short film festival in Seattle co-sponsored by the Sci-Fi Museum and Sci-Fi Channel. This was very successful, with excellent audience response. For a whole article about this and the new tweaks we are doing to the film, visit: http://efanzines.com/DrinkTank/DrinkTank116.pdf

New animation draft

So I'm working on re-doing some of the less-splendid animation in "Guidolon"...full story...
The whole script!
Nov 02 2006 by Frank Wu
The animation you can see is really only 11 min. out of an hour-long pilot episode; we want each "real" episode to be 30 min - thus, "Guidolon the Giant Space Chicken and Friends Half-Power Half-Hour."

But I've posted the full one-hour script (which admittedly hangs together more than the 11-min filmette, with more character development and a complete storyline):

New fight scene, too!

We're also re-vamping some of the animation in the Guidolon video.

A newer version of the fight scene, without sound is now up at YouTube

GUIDOLON FILM WINS TWO AWARDS!
Jul 30 2006 by Frank Wu
At the Conestoga sci-fi convention and International Film Festival yesterday, our "Guidolon" short won "Best Animation." And also, the Festival created a new award, which has never been given out before - Best in Show! When I went to Tulsa for the convention, I would have been happy with a third-place, but instead we came away with a double-win. Wahoo!

So "Guidolon" is now an award-winning short. Thanks to the long list of folks who did unbelievably excellent work on this crazy endeavor!

We're still in the process of trying to sell this/get a development deal, so I've been thinking a lot about money and I have a choice - it can control me, or I can control it. I'm also thinking about finalizing the final, final version of the film. Read on!full story...

Licensing International Show
Jun 19 2006 by Frank Wu
Over the next three days - Tues, Wed., and Thu - I will be showing "Guidolon" at the Licensing International Show in New York, alongside two of the creative folks behind it - BenniiD, who did 75% of the animation, and Rodney Artiles, who built these wonderful sculptures of Guidolon. We'll also have our business manager, Chris Bell.

The Licensing International Show - http://www.licensingshow.com - will really be the public debut of the completed 11-min "pilot" film. The show itself is a chance for all sorts of creative types to show off their projects, while all sorts of companies - cable companies, toy companies, videogame makers, etc. - swoop around, buying up licenses on various creative projects. So our goal her is to perhaps score a production deal with a cable network, and possibly license Guidolon as a videogame, as toys, etc.

If you're in New York, stop by! It'll be a huge show. And, even if you can't make it, wish us luck!

I'll post any new news on any licensing/production deals we make at the show.
